Community Education

We offer training's and educational presentations that define domestic violence, discuss different forms of abuse, and dispel common myths around domestic violence.  Our training's and presentations focus on why victims stay in abusive relationships, the effects of domestic violence on families with children, and what can be done about domestic violence.  Specifically, we offer:
  • Professional training's for businesses, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
  • In-service presentations for healthcare providers, school professionals, the police, and mental health/substance abuse clinicians.
  • Community presentations for educational, civic, community, and religious groups.
Public Service campaigns including Domestic Violence Awareness Month every October and Women’s History month every March.
We welcome the opportunity to table at community events, volunteer fairs, academic environments to provide education about domestic violence and Compass Center agency services.
