career    What Can I Expect from Individual Career Counseling?

Individual counseling is meant to meet you where you are and move forward from there. Whatever your situation might be, you can expect a non-judgmental atmosphere, and to leave feeling empowered. While we don’t make guarantees, we do promise that you will leave with an action plan on how to achieve your goals. Try a 60-minute one-on-one session with one of our  experienced career counselors!

  • Recent unemployment
  • Consistent unemployment
  • Reentering the job market after years of being unemployed
  • Looking for a new employment while keeping your current job
  • Changing fields
  • Asserting power in your new job
  • Handling the first 90 days after landing your dream job

  • Cover letter
  • LinkedIn
  • Online job search
  • Mock interviews

All the other stuff:

  • The proper way to network
  • Using social media to your advantage
  • What’s the deal with online meetup groups?
  • How do I explain that I was fired to a potential employer?

Career Programs

60 minute in-person appointment with a career counselor. This is an informal meeting, but please bring resume or cover letter drafts or any other materials if that’s what you would like to work on during your appointment. A small intake to assess your needs will be taken over the phone as before you schedule your appointment. To schedule please call 919-968-4610.

We offer workshops throughout the year at our office or in the community. Currently we have no scheduled workshops for Fall 2016.
