Coping Through the Holidays for Survivors of Domestic Violence

Studies show that support groups help women feel more connected and validated. Support groups also reduce isolation and contribute to people’s ability to make needed changes in their lives.

The holidays are often a difficult time for survivors of domestic violence. Compass Center is inviting survivors to participate in an evening of sharing, learning, and community focusing on the particular challenges of the holiday season. Free Child-care is offered.

The event will take place in mid-December. Call  919-968-4610 or email groups@compassctr.org by Dec. 17 to participate.

Here’s what former clients have said about Compass Center’s domestic violence support groups:

“I felt supported and a  sense of friendship.  I loved the teachers and advice they gave.”

” Other group members and facilitators were so open, vulnerable, generous & loving.  Everyone listened and shared.”
